Features Of Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger

3. The heat exchange area or process combination can be changed. The required heat exchange area can be achieved by increasing or reducing the number of plates. By changing the combination of plates, it can be applied to different working conditions.
4. Resistant to high temperature, high pressure and corrosion
The brazed plate heat exchanger is a miniaturization of the traditional plate heat exchanger. Its heat exchanger plates are mostly made of 304/316L stainless steel. As shown in the picture above, the concave and convex patterns of adjacent plates are combined in a 180° inverse combination, forming staggered contact points at their ridge positions. These contact points are closed after vacuum welding to form a complex staggered channel system. The medium in the heat exchanger generates strong turbulence in these channels, thereby achieving high heat transfer effects. The brazing material is copper. The melting point of copper is around 1083°C, while that of stainless steel is 1539°C. When heated to above 1100°C in a vacuum, the copper solder melts and fills these contact points under the siphon principle.
Brazed plate heat exchangers can generally withstand temperatures from -196 to 225°C and withstand pressure ≤4.5MPa, which can meet most usage conditions. At the same time, because stainless steel is used as the base, the requirements for the medium are relaxed to a certain extent. Generally, the pH value of the medium is required to be 6-8, and chloride ions are required to be below 200mg/L.
