Plate misalignment

The main reasons for the misalignment are: the heat exchanger plate is deformed, the sealing gasket slips away from the gasket groove
Treatment method: timely replace the deformed plate and the slidable gasket. If there is a lack of maintenance equipment on site, you can also first extract the damaged plates and the leaking plates in pairs. If the number is not too much, the number of reduced flow channels is relatively small, and the assembled heat exchanger can continue Use will not have a great impact on production.
Leakage of plate heat exchanger
Since the sealing periphery of the plate heat exchanger is longer and the plates are thinner, leakage may occur during use. Leakage can be divided into internal leakage and external leakage.
1. Internal leakage
The internal leakage of the plate heat exchanger means that the two media in the heat exchanger cause high-pressure side media to leak to the low-pressure side due to some reasons.
The main cause of internal leakage: perforation, cracks and corrosion of the plates of the plate heat exchanger.
Endoleaks are generally not easy to detect in time. To find endoleaks in time, it is necessary to frequently conduct laboratory tests on the medium on the low pressure side and judge from the changes in its composition.
2. Leakage
The external leakage of the plate heat exchanger refers to the leakage of the medium in the heat exchanger to the external space.
The main cause of leakage is: gasket aging, corrosion or plate deformation.
External leakage is generally easy to find. When the heat exchanger leaks, mark the leaking part in time, disassemble the equipment and replace the gasket or plate.
3. Inspection method for shutdown of plate heat exchanger leakage:
① Disassemble the heat exchanger, remove the dirt on the surface, dry it and reassemble it. Perform a hydraulic test with a pressure of 0.2 ~ 0.3MPa on one side. Observe the water outlet position of the plate on the other side and make a mark. After opening, check the plate on the untested side. The wet plate is damaged.
②The light transmission and color inspection methods can also be used on site to detect waste plates. All waste plates and gaskets checked out must be replaced and used after reassembly.
