Detailed introduction to the heat exchanger

The heat exchanger is a device that transfers part of the heat of the hot fluid to the cold fluid. Heat exchangers occupy an important position in chemical, petroleum, power, food and many other industrial productions. It can be used as heater, cooler, condenser, evaporator and reboiler in chemical production. The partition type, heat storage type, and hybrid type are all types of heat exchangers. 1. Partition type
Partition wall heat exchangers include shell and tube heat exchangers and plate heat exchangers.
(1) Shell-and-tube heat exchangers are mainly composed of shell, tube bundle, tube sheet and head. The shell is mostly circular, with parallel tube bundles or spiral tubes inside, and both ends of the tube bundle are fixed on the tube sheet. There are two kinds of fluids for heat exchange in the shell-and-tube heat exchanger, one flowing in the tube, and its stroke is called the tube pass; the other flowing outside the tube, and its stroke is called the shell pass.
(2) The plate heat exchanger is the most typical partition heat exchanger. The main structure is composed of heat exchange plates and rubber strips between the plates. Because of its unique advantages, plate heat exchangers have replaced shell-and-tube heat exchangers in many industries.
2. Regenerative
The regenerative heat exchanger transfers heat from the high-temperature fluid to the low-temperature fluid through a heat storage body composed of solid materials. After the heating medium reaches a certain temperature by heating the solid substance, the cold medium is heated by the solid substance to achieve the purpose of heat transfer. Regenerative heat exchangers include rotary type and valve switching type.
3. Hybrid
Hybrid heat exchangers rely on direct contact between cold and hot fluids for heat transfer. This heat transfer method avoids the fouling resistance of the heat transfer partition and its two sides with a large heat transfer rate. The main common names and manifestations are as follows:
(1) Cooling tower
Using natural ventilation or mechanical ventilation, the hot medium is cooled by spray water and then recycled to improve the economic benefits of the system.
(2) Gas scrubber
In the industry, the gas is scrubbed, such as absorbing certain components in the gas mixture with liquid, removing dust in the gas, humidifying or drying the gas, etc. The most widespread use is to cool gas, and the liquid used for cooling is mostly water.
(3) Jet heat exchanger
In this equipment, the fluid with higher pressure is ejected from the nozzle to form a high velocity. The low-pressure fluid is introduced into the mixing chamber to directly contact the jet for heat transfer, and enters the diffuser tube together, and is sent to the user after the outlet of the diffuser tube reaches the same pressure and temperature.
