Plate heat exchanger welding repair is often used when the heat exchanger is damaged or loose. Welding repair can be used to make it stronger and improve the overall process efficiency of the plate heat exchanger. 1. When preparing for the welding process, remove the influencing factors from the equipment and the surrounding environment. Impurities and dirt should not be left inside the equipment, and then coat the surface of the equipment with chlorate brazing agent.

2. During the welding process, the welding time cannot be too long. Long-term welding will cause the heat exchanger to be overheated, causing corrosion, the system process parameters cannot be corrected, and the internal temperature difference cannot be determined.

3. The silver-based electrode used must contain more than 45% silver, and the welding process should be carried out. Welding temperature should be carried out according to specific conditions, whether the welding strength is too high or too low will affect the process effect.

4. The plates of the heat exchanger must be placed in parallel to inject a large amount of water into the equipment. Then wrap the device with cloth to expose the welding area. The main purpose is to prevent the high temperature generated during welding from damaging the heat exchanger.

 

The precautions for welding repair of plate heat exchanger are mainly the above four points. The repair of equipment does not need to be completely welded. The specific welding operation depends on your own situation, and you need to ask professional technicians whether to use welding. Some equipment problems may be caused by the operation of personnel or damage to the components.

Everyone knows that the plate heat exchanger is determined according to the needs of the heat exchange occasion. For the case of small flow and large pressure drop, we should choose the plate type with low resistance, and vice versa. According to the fluid pressure and temperature, determine whether to choose a detachable type or a brazed type. When determining the plate type, it is not advisable to choose a plate with a single plate area that is too small, lest there are too many plates, the flow velocity between the plates is too small, and the heat transfer coefficient is too low. This problem should be paid more attention to for larger heat exchangers. Generally, there are four reasons why the plate heat exchanger cannot keep up with the heat supply!

 

1. Uneven flow distribution of multiple plate heat exchangers operating in parallel;

2. Insufficient medium flow on the primary side causes a large temperature difference on the hot side and a small pressure drop;

3. Severe scaling inside the heat exchanger;

4. The cold side temperature is low, and the temperature at the cold and hot ends is low.
