Specific steps for cleaning brazed plate heat exchanger

It is troublesome to clean and scale the brazed plate heat exchanger, after all, after a long time of use, the phenomenon of internal scale is unavoidable. This leads to poor thermal conductivity, which reduces exchange efficiency and heat energy. Therefore, it is necessary for everyone to understand the cleaning of brazed plate heat exchangers. 1. Cleaning method of brazed plate heat exchanger

(1) Mechanical cleaning

This method is relatively simple and is to clean with an iron brush. This will damage the plates and increase the difficulty of the work, because the equipment needs to be disassembled and the rubber strips will also be damaged.

(2) Chemical cleaning

The first chemical cleaning is generally pickling. Experiments have found that the effect of pickling will be better and will not damage the equipment and plates. Generally, oxalic acid or formic acid is used as a cleaning agent.

2. Cleaning steps of brazed plate heat exchanger

(1) Flushing: Flush the impurities inside the equipment first, then pickling. This effect will be better and reduce the consumption of pickling.

(2) Pour the cleaning agent into the heat exchanger equipment.

(3) Soak the heat exchanger for 2h, and in automatic circulation for 3-4h, turn over every 0.5h to clean the front and back.

3. Precautions for pickling

(1) The pickling temperature can be controlled at about 60 degrees. If the temperature is too high, the pickling solution will aggravate the corrosion of the plates.

(2) The pickling method uses a combination of soaking and dynamic circulation. First pickling soaks for 2 hours, and dynamic circulation for 3 or 4 hours. After pickling concentration sampling, the difference is less than 1.2%.

(3) After the pickling is completed, the dirt on the surface of the equipment will definitely fall off, revealing the original appearance. This state is prone to corrosion, so passivation must be done.

4. Alkaline washing

After the pickling is completed, the sodium hydroxide and sodium phosphate are configured in proportions, and the equipment’s dynamic cycle is used for alkaline washing of the equipment. The purpose is to neutralize acid and alkali and prevent corrosion of the plates.

5. Washing

Rinse the equipment with demineralized water for 0.5h and rinse thoroughly. Record after finishing.
